SAORVIEW is Ireland’s first free digital television service. It brings you all your favourite Irish channels, crystal clear pictures, better quality sound, on-screen programme menus and digital teletext – all for free.
SAORVIEW is a digital terrestrial television (DTT) service which means the signal is broadcast from transmission masts across the country and is received through a standard TV aerial paired with either a set-top-box or a new integrated digital television (iDTV).

Once the Saorview Aerial is in place and functioning correctly, you then have two options….
Option one
You can buy a new Saorview TV Sceen. This will have a built in Saorview Decoder. There will be no need to purchase a Saorview Receiver if a Saorview TV is being used.

Option two
If you don’t want to change your NON Saorview TV Screen, you can purchase a Saorview TV Receiver ( Saorview Set-top BOX). This can the be connected to you existing NON Saorview TV Screen to receive the Saorview TV Channels as required.

SAORVIEW Combo Box
If you would like to receive even more TV channels without subscription, you can combine SAORVIEW with Free-to-Air satellite.
Free-to-Air satellite provides a huge number of UK and European channels and is available to access for anyone with a satellite dish and receiver.
There are now a number of SAORVIEW Approved Combi TVs and boxes which allow you to receive both services together, meaning just one remote control.
